When I was a co-op at Chiquita, I was working in the transportation group. My work responsibilities were focused on the transportation operations within the United States. I was exposed to real business world situations and the information I found and reported impacted manager decisions. The best opportunities of working as a co-op at Chiquita were the career opportunities. I became a full time employee before I graduated with my Bachelors degree and the company was flexible enough to allow me to work full time and continue my education.

When I worked with the Poer we were located down in the River Center towers in Covington, KY and now they are located in Western Hills. The basis of the co-op position is to work directly with the full time employees by performing audits on huge companies like DuPont and GM. This meant, at some times, extensive travel to these locations and for some lucky co-ops this presented an opportunity to travel across seas. The best thing I took away from this position was the business mentality needed to succeed in today's business environment while networking at the same time.
