Brought in to assistant position to help bring employee files up to date, ensuring that current files were complete and accounted for. Preparing the human resource division for a planned move of a different facility while new accommodations are to be built on the current location in Norfolk
During assignment a key responsibility was to eliminate duplicate files and improper identification of files and make the appropriate changes to files.
As well as closing out files of past employees that had been terminated, resigned, or retired.
Helped establish a system to purge employee files that were no longer needed on site, but still needed accessible per company regulations. With system in place employee files are more secure yet still available at a moment’s notice.
My knowledge of a large corporations human resource roll has been largely improved by my strong involvement with the Human Resource Manager, Document Control Supervisor, along with the Employee Benefits Manager.
