Kathleen Egge's Summary
I work with companies to improved the user experience, increase ROI, and decrease production costs. How did I do it? It helps to have more than a decade of experience. It also helps to love what you do. And I LOVE what I do.
A typical day for me includes working collaboratively and iteratively to develop concepts as well as execute upon solutions. I design IA strategies with complete user experiences and business objectives in mind. By illustrating clear UX documentation, I maintain concise interaction design requirements for new products and for product enhancements. As an advocate for the user, I ensure that business leaders understand the value of UX activities, and help drive the best User Experience strategies. Oh, and I can walk and chew gum at the same time.
I've been instrumental in developing award-winning designs for firms such as BlueCross BlueShield, Classmates Online, Columbia TriStar Television, Consumer Reports, Goldman Sachs, Netscape Communications Inc., Nickelodeon, and Sony Electronic Publishing. My work has been published in HOW magazine, Designing for Business, Careers in Multimedia, and Multimedia Demystified.
Specialties: User experience design, information architecture, interaction design, web-based apps, mobile hand held device apps. for Android and iOS, MMO games, social networking, e-commerce, and e-learning tools.
