Students were instructed on how to read a play and discover the action within each section. After some analysis, one-act plays were chosen and the class divided into groups of two and three. Class time was used for rehearsal, constructive criticism, and performance of action using the methods of Stanislavsky and Meisner. Students participated in gathering appropriate costumes, props, and in building set pieces. The class concluded with an invited-audience performance of the one-acts, with discussion afterward.
