My students are interested in behavioral science and behavioral modification. A holistic/scientific approach is used with stress management techniques such as meditation, breathing, positive thinking and listening to the soft music playing throughout the 3 hour- long class. Examples of these are found on my website: www.juliacarroll1.com.

Julia Carroll, BFA, MA, Post-Graduate Art Therapy Certification, Ph.D. (candidate in Holistic Wellness) and the ChildARTherapy Association serves individuals and groups who have had the trauma of abuse during childhood. We provide art therapy, play therapy, music and motion, stress management techniques and gentle touch therapies. Patterned and repetitive activities support building resilience for moving through and overcoming traumas. Parents are welcome as "co-therapists" to observe and/or participate. Information is offered as to how creative arts positively impact the cortical, limbic and brainstem systems to promote health and well-being. Adjunct Professor Carroll teaches art therapy and behavioral science at the University of Houston, Texas. She is a popular speaker for educational and healthcare professionals regarding the benefits of creative arts and trauma. Please contact via email as to travel and lecture schedules for 2009. You are invited to view the art therapy on my website at www.juliacarroll1.com.
