I divide my time between a few different research/consulting projects.
My main role is project leading IIEA Climate Change Working Group, a high-level stakeholders consultation of sixty experts on Ireland’s post-2012 Climate Change Policy. Final report, which I drafted three policy context chapters for (on International, EU and National policy context) and co-edited (over) due in September '08.
I am also Senior Researcher in areas of Climate Change/Energy Policy at the IIEA. This involves assessing and analyzing EU level climate and energy developments and disseminating through periodic policy briefs, presentations and briefings. Also input into strategic research agenda and work programmes of energy and climate change working groups and representing Institute at domestic and international academic conferences and organised briefings with international experts.
I am Irish National Moderator: myclimate.eu, a European Commission funded project, and National Coordinator/Consultant for myparl.eu, a EurActive run, European Parliament funded project.
