Jim Wigg’s Summary
Jim’s career in sales and business development has spanned the IT hardware & software, packaging & print, construction and energy systems sectors. In 1997 he got involved in training and in 1999 he set up Epicurean Associates.
Since the company’s inception, Jim has become synonymous with giving clients a different perspective. In conversations he has a knack of spotting something the client hasn’t noticed or asking the question that brings clarity and gets things moving. In his role as a training and development consultant, he gets to know what the client wants to achieve, how it fits within their business, why it’s important and what else needs to be aligned to achieve the objectives. That’s what makes him so well equipped to recommend the right trainer and/or course. As a trainer he loves working with clients on large bids – devising a client relationship strategy that will help differentiate them from their competitors.
Throughout his career, Jim has achieved some key milestones including; in 2008 the 600th delegate from one of the big four accounting firms completed a course that’s run since 2005 with universally positive feedback, in 2001 he advised a client on relationship strategy for a £200m bid which they won from second place and in 1997 Walter Blackburn, the renowned master trainer of trainers, invited him to train as a Trainer with PeopleTrack.
