Managing Director, jallé GmbH
Zürich Area, Switzerland
New in October 2009:
Three years ago, I started a company with a sort-of business plan and strong mission to help people get more out of their careers and lives. To do something that would show "this is Jill" in a way I could be proud of one day.
The business and my life as an entrepreneur have both evolved and grown. A vision has emerged: help leaders build communities among key stakeholders because this will be an important approach in the future. Role model the vision by building our own community among experienced professionals to support decision-making for those of us lucky enough to face mid-life challenges of juggling work and living and wondering how we got here so quickly.
I enjoy doing it all with people I admire and respect, from whom I learn, and with whom I share many smiles plus the occasional deep laugh.
What more can I ask for? I am still on the way and loving (nearly) every minute.
Business management, marketing, public relations and executive-level workshops. Specialized in community-building programs to bring new initiatives to key stakeholders and inspire their sincere contributions. Dedicated to helping experienced professionals explore how to be successful, being themselves.

March 2006 — Present (3 years 9 months)
We build communities among key stakeholders as a future-looking approach to move good ideas forward. Our flagship seminar program, the jallé Six for Yourself, demonstrates that we genuinely practice and role model our own community-based principles. We also create communities on a custom basis, typically working with large, international firms.

(Public Company; 10,001 or more employees; Chemicals industry)
1986 — 1999 (13 years )
Dow Chemical provided a range of opportunities from my early days in Public Affairs and Marketing Communications through the leap into Sales and eventually Marketing & Product Management. Gained strong experience working with Asian and European business clients and colleagues. One of my favorite roles was my first time managing people now nearly a decade ago -- 26 Market Research professionals. I had no experience in Market Research (other than buying it) and had never led direct reports. I learned a lot fast and found it the most rewarding part of doing business: giving people a chance to exceed their own expectations.
