Jesper works as Director, Financial Controlling & Reporting with Dako. His tasks are to secure accurate consolidation of the subs in the Group and making sure that proper controlling is carried out. Further, to secure monthly reporting to Mgmt and the owners of Dako and the Annual Report. Jesper also participates in a number of ad hoc tasks in the Group.
Jesper was originally employed to carry out an ongoing assessment of the internal controlling system, identify weaknesses and come up with recommendations for improvements of the control environment leading to a more streamlined and effective financial risk management. Structure and develop tools for the documentation of the internal controls in accordance with Sarbannes-Oxley Act or similar EU requirements prior to and as a basis for an IPO.
During 2006 Jesper was in charge of preparing the figures used for divesting part of the business that has been carved out. This area was no longer considered core to Dako and spun of.
Finally Jesper is involved in ongoing accounting issues in regards to IAS/IFRS and US GAAP.
From October 2006 through May 2007 Jesper has been working as the Director of Finance for the US Production site in California. Jesper’s objective was to manage the Finance function and establish sound procedures and controls over the Financial Reporting. Further, Jesper should establish the “bridge” between Finance and Operations securing that production and inventory was monitored and assessed on a timely basis. Jesper has worked closely with the Director of Operations in order to establish sufficient internal controls and transparency in production variances etc.

In his spare time, Jesper finds the time for sports; particularly, soccer and golf. It is important for Jesper to stay fit. Further, Jesper sings and play the guitar.
Jesper was rewarded the “Danica Prisen 2003” for his thesis at the MSc in Business Economics & Auditing. His thesis was published as a book and he has written articles.
