Jeanette Smith has more than 25 years experience in the licensing industry, including building the Dilbert™ brand from its infancy to a global corporate icon. Today she enjoys speaking frequently, as well as coaching and consulting for companies creators and artists worldwide. Jeanette’s early career success in advertising led her to New York City where she launched new divisions for Official Airline Guides, Macmillan Publishing, and Paramount Communications / VIACOM. This took her to more than 25 countries, while negotiating hundreds of worldwide publishing, product licensing, and television production and distribution deals.

Following the astronomical growth and success of Dilbert, J’net translated and expanded on her licensing experience while coaching, consulting and agenting creators. She specializes in training, advising and licensing hundreds of artists, graphic designers, painters, photographers, cartoonists, authors, illustrators, animators, design firms, fine artists, creative companies, and non-profits to maximize the power of their brands and talents.
Most recently, Jeanette launched to provide a comprehensive source where talented creators will find unique services, products and resources specifically designed to start and build an art licensing business.
Her current clients include: Eartha Kitt Productions, Debbie Tomassi, CanWood Entertainment, a global entertainment company, Zangadoo Entertainment, as well as Character Matters, a character development & branding company owned by Tom Wilson, Internationally syndicated Ziggy cartoonist.

For more than ten years, my goal has been to make more services, products and resources available to creators, as well as make them more affordable for everyone around the world. I teach very detailed courses (events live, online and downloadable), as well as offer an informational blog, resources, free classes and feature other expert guest speakers. My services can be engaged as a coach, consultant or agent to provide strategic planning, negotiations and implementation in the areas of marketing & sales, branding, licensing and publishing. All Art Licensing also offers support to manufacturers, publishers and other businesses that want to increase their licensing revenue or start a licensing business.
