Organizations can use a senior analytics leader these days– an expert who understands the analytics of the entire business from consumer to product to real estate and the financials. Companies have massive amounts of data to analyze to wring more profits out of the business, and benefit from a leader to help identify opportunities and drive change. Generally there is no organizational leader with these skills or a centralized group to find the big levers – and advise senior leaders across the organization. Read "Competing on Analytics" by Davenport & Harris for a full review.
