    The authors present a possible approach for a new general purpose recommender architecture, one which complements the current proven and tested techniques (User Model, Collaborative Filtering, Content Based Filtering), used in some everyday business scenarios, balancing with newly developed personalization procedures and methodologies. The overall objective is to try to tackle some of the typical shortcomings of traditional recommender systems (Cold start, dilution of the “personal color” in a sea of collective thinking…), by effectively balancing the amount of collective intelligence used against a more “personal affinity” score.

    La tesis que vengo a plantear en este artículo es un poco contundente. Obama ganó las elecciones del 2008, sorprendiendo a propios y extraños. A partir de ahí se le atribuyen toda una serie de magias y hechicerías que a través de los ojos de los extraños se han ido magnificando y simplificando, hasta el punto de que poco menos que se achaca al uso de las Redes Sociales su victoria.
    Mi tesis es doble:
    A) Obama venció porque era consciente de que no se puede dirigir a su electorado de manera colectiva sin asumir que son muchas entidades diferentes
    B) Obama no tenía ni idea de personotecnia, la disciplina que controla todo este tema. Si supiera de ello, hubiera arrasado de una manera todavía más clara

    This paper presents the methods used in a TV Recommender System that helps users in the difficult task of finding an interesting TV program from among the hundreds of channels that we can find nowadays on TV. Our aim is to cover not only user preferences but also user restrictions while watching TV. The recommendations use a hybrid method, combining content based and folk- sonomy (collaborative and social recommendations). We also present interesting initial results of some experiments that try to show the accuracy of the users recommendations
