Architectural Designer at H3 & Independently
Greater New York City Area
I am becoming a licensed architect in the northeast United States. I am especially interested in how technological advancements are changing the way architects work. For the last two years I have been working at an architectural design firm that has made the full jump into Building Information Modeling work flows and the evolution has been very rewarding.
I have satisfied my IDP credits to become an intern architect and will begin taking the exam when it is updated this summer. I have developed designs and construction documents for several buildings in the New York area. I have also developing Genetic Algorithms to model city growth in the Processing programming environment. My research, supervised by Professor Ed Mitchell, was on the visualisation and simulation rudimentary city models, primarily focused on zoning envelopes and use. In 2005, I obtained a Masters of Architecture from Yale University, after earning a Bachelors of Science in Architecture from Georgia Tech in 1999. I have worked in architectural firms in Atlanta, New York, and Key West. I have also helped build over fifty homes with the Atlanta Chapter of Habitat for Humanity and with a construction firm on the Upper East Side in New York.
