Jason Langone’s Summary

Born in Alexandria, VA, I have lived throughout much of the east coast. I’ve held positions at companies such as Charles E. Smith (DC/VA), Citrix Systems (FL), Tyco Healthcare (MA) and Computershare (MA). I now serve as President of Cloud-Cast, a company delivering solutions on Amazon Web Services, Micriosoft Windows Azure, VMware vCloud and other platforms.

I also currently serve as Vice President of Virtualization Services for IGI.

I remain focused on growing product and service offerings in a forward-thinking approach in sync with market drivers.

I’ve been heavily involved with virtualization implementations for both consolidation and disaster recovery efforts for the last 6+ years. I spoke at VMWorld 2006, won the VMware Vanguard Award in 2007 for Best DR Design, and was recently awarded a VMware vExpert Award while in Cannes at VMWorld Europe 2009.

I have successfully designed and implemented VMware, Citrix and Microsoft solutions for both government agencies and Fortune 500 organizations.

Over the last year and a half I have been increasingly involved in the education, architecture and implementation of cloud computing solutions. These solutions (both pilot and production) have leveraged platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the tech preview of Microsoft Windows Azure.

I also founded and manage the Washington, D.C. Metro Area VMware User Group and Washington, D.C. Metro Cloud Camp. I also participate in the Capitol Hill VMware User Group.
