Domestic Violence Advocate at Chicago Police Department
Greater Chicago Area
I have been doing domestic violence work for 26 years. Currently, I work for the Chicago Police Department advocating for victims of domestic violence who are abused by members of the department -- primarily battered women abused by Chicago cops. I've also been involved in legislative and policy work on domestic violence and child abduction for more than 20 years. I have a law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law. I wrote a book on the Illinois Domestic Violence Act published by the Illinois State Bar Assocation and a book chapter on child abduction for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education. I train a great deal, providing training for more than 20,000 professionals from Florida to Hawaii.
