In late summer '08 HelpGuest launches its skills marketplace. Designed to offer computer users assistance from skilled, independent experts via a secure, one-time remote access connection.
It's sort of eBay for computer help.
Users having trouble with any application, such as PowerPoint, Excel, setting up a Wordpress blog, Photoshop, etc, can come to HelpGuest and browse for an expert, chat, and engage an independent expert who will come right onto your computer to assist you. The expert sees only what the user wants them to see, such as the active application and the user has control of the session at all times.
The experts work for themselves, set their own rates, work from their own machines and on their own schedules. HelpGuest is the platform that allows them to connect to users and deliver their expertise.
