"Our Mentorship Program matches refugee girls ages 14-19 with women volunteer mentors who commit to one year of individual mentoring, meeting weekly to help girls set and achieve their goals." This can be helping with homework, reading a book together, going to the zoo, even trying out new food. The mentor/mentee relationship helps girls to assimilate to US culture by building understanding and self-esteem. I am very thankful to have been chosen as a mentor for the 2014-2015 school year!
