Gunther currently works at Microsoft as ISV Architect Evangelist. His objective in this role is to build high value relationships with the top 2% of ISV partners in the NY/NJ/PA area with the goal to drive the adoption of new and emerging Microsoft technologies. He articulates and communicates the business value of compelling technology strategies to complex business challenges to increase the competitive advantage and open new revenue streams. Furthermore, he acts as trusted advisor and focuses on exposing synergies between the partner’s product technology strategy and the Microsoft technology roadmap by initiating and directing strategy briefings, Architecture Design Sessions and Proof of Concepts.
Before joining Microsoft, Gunther worked as a program manager and senior consultant on software architecture at Siemens Corporate Research in Princeton, NJ.
As a result of his work, he published two books (".NET -- A Complete Development Cycle" and "Practical Software Factories in .NET") as well as numerous articles in magazines. Gunther is also an invited speaker at international conferences and received the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) - Solution Architect award in 2005/2006/2007.
