Write requirements documents for water treatment automation. Write test plans for software that controls water treatment processes. Specific functions include: level control, pressure control, flow control, environmental safety monitoring, pressure control structure management, distribution management, chemical flow pacing, leak detection.
Evaluate PAC and PLC platforms and development environments. Working with Rockwell, GE , Opto22 and Moxa brand platforms.

In 2012 I participated in the staging of my tenth parade. The 2013 parade, I will be working with the Judging Committee. The Judging Committee tabulates the results and assists the judges with viewing and gathering the scoring information. My 2015 assignment is Float Construction Committee so I will be looking forward to being involved with fielding the floats for the next two years.

Architected the LAN and WAN networks for the group. The group was spread out throughout several buildings on the Caltech campus and ultimately between MIT, CIT, Hanford Washington and Livingston LA.
Operate Sun Microsystems datacenter. Maintained SUNOS servers to provide general computing resources for the project members. Plan operating system updates, network upgrades and hardware maintenance. Plan and procure equipment for a project that transitioned from proposal state to operational state.
Wrote programs to be used in solving a variety of engineering questions. For example, I wrote a data acquisition and analysis program for the vacuum engineers who were studying the outgassing of stainless steel. Another example was a cut and fill program for the civil engineers who were calculating the amount of earth moving necessary for the various LIGO sites that were proposed.
Provided desktop support for Macintosh, Windows and Sun Unix to the project group members.
1986 – 1988 (2 years)
Used the VRTX real time operating system to implement a stock certificate processing machine. I was responsible for several of the controller subsystem libraries. I also wrote loaders for the controller software to boot up on power-up of the controller. The controller was an IBM-AT machine.
I was also the network administrator for the development group LAN. We implemented an ungerman-bass fileserver package.
