Responsible for all prepress, production and web publishing components of the system including AdBase, PGL, AdWatch, AdBaseE and associated interfaces to third party production / tracking systems and functionality at each property. I work closely with vendors and other AdBase Functional Managers to assure completeness of communication and coordination of project deliverables. Responsible for the training, testing, go-live and post go-live support of production related functionality. I have operated as a process owner to verify that the system(s) are configured and function properly. Responsibilities include the timely output of three daily newspapers, the supervision of ad services, two creative services staffs and the lithography departments in Wausau and Stevens Point. Job responsibilities included overseeing the personnel in the litho and composing departments, responsible for quality control of advertising materials in daily newspapers, commercial print jobs and special sections. Developed optimum quality procedures for customer satisfaction and to improve our daily products, developed a Central toning department for Gannett Central Wisconsin Newspaper Group. Worked very closely with the news, circulation and advertising departments, also developed PDF workflow for Central Wisconsin newspapers. Working on the departmental budget, and in charge of all supply ordering and vendor contact. I was the Optimum Quality chairperson at Wausau, the AdQ co-chairperson at Wausau. Travel to commercial accounts to help set up digital transmissions of files.
