Progressively increasing responsibilities at headquarters, starting as a Student Intern in 1976, and later running the 8 person Research & Development Department as Vice President.
Empire of America was a fast growing savings bank that moved from regional operations in Buffalo NY, to banking centers in 5 states and diversified financial services in 10 states. It originated operations as "Erie County Savings Bank" in 1854, later dropping the "county", before adopting the "Empire of America" name in 1983.
I left the bank in 1987. The bank was dissolved by the FDIC in 1990, and carved up into 8 separate pieces.
