Gabriel Garcia's Overview
- Patent Chemist at Teva Pharmaceuticals
Gabriel Garcia's Summary
I am very much interested in many facets of Science.
Specifically, the behavior of molecules all throughout the universal spectrum from the micro to the macro level.
From their atomic constitution to their inherent behavior in their self replicating capabilities thus, the actual generating and running of the machinery of cells in an organism.
In a more pragmatic sense, I am interested in the thought involved in designing novel molecules, their actual synthesis, their potential applications of those novel molecules as drugs including their patent-ability. Also, I am very interested in the innovation of new technologies (medical/physical/material science) at the molecular level.
I consider myself as goal- and team-oriented person, pragmatic, creative, energetic, highly self-motivated, organized, problem solving, flexible and enthusiastic about achieving company goals involving a good understanding of molecules, their medicinal chemistry principles and their intellectual property activities and potential.
I have experience in IP/R&D/In- and Outsourced project leading and management.
I have experience in the (regulatory/legal) process of introducing generics into the market (US, Canada and Latin-America)
Additionally, I have built medicinal chemistry laboratories from scratch at 2 European Biotech entities.
