Wine writer since 1984, in print for 20 years, now on the internet. Want to increase traffic to and readership of my blog, www.biggerthanyourhead.net.
I have traveled widely to the world's wine regions, tasted and reviewed thousands of wines. I like to make each review a brief education into the wine's origins and making, its geography and essence.

Oops, just got laid-off! I got into journalism through writing about wine. In my career at the C.A., I was book review editor, restaurant reviewer, visual arts reporter and critic. I wrote a wine column for 20 years. (Now I have my blog, www.biggerthanyourhead.net.) I reviewed movies, theater, dance, classical performance and CDs; I wrote about houses and architecture and remodeling. I guess now it's the free-lance life for me!
