Eric has a track record of launching, marketing and rapidly scaling new and disruptive infrastructure services, software and hardware for multinational businesses in Israel, Europe, China, Latin America and India.
Eric served as Chief Operating Officer at ITXC, the global market share leader in international IP communications services. Eric was part of the original management team that founded ITXC, took the company public and grew annual revenues from zero to $338 million.
Recent roles have included Chief Marketing Officer at Covad Communications and Entrepreneur in Residence for Warburg Pincus. The latter was an extension of his role at Aicent, Inc., a Warburg portfolio company and leader in mobile data network services in China. Eric has held executive/management positions with Macromedia, Hewlett-Packard, Dialogic (formerly Intel) and BCE Ventures.
Eric is the founder and chair of the Cleantech program for a group of investors, entrepreneurs and established companies in California and Israel. Eric brings to the field of cleantech diverse technology experience in software, hardware and network “grid” services. He has successfully leveraged disruptive new technology in a dynamic regulatory environment. Weiss’ graduate degrees, an MBA from Harvard Business School and Master in Public Policy also from Harvard, similarly provide complementary business and policy perspectives to the field of cleantech.
Weiss brings extensive marketing, product management and business development experience in multinational infrastructure products and services.

Weiss served as an Executive in Residence for the telecommunications practice of the private equity firm Warburg Pincus, an extension of his role as senior vice president and general manager of Mobile Applications for Aicent, Inc., a Warburg portfolio company.
Weiss led Aicents business of delivering consumer and enterprise content to 500 million mobile subscribers and 70 mobile operators in Aicents global network. Aicent is backed by global investors Warburg Pincus, iGlobe and Qualcomm.
