Ellen Clark was born in Salt Lake City. She attended the University of Utah where she studied fine arts and business.
Ellen has always been a painter. On watercolor paper, in Photoshop and on the in and outsides of houses, Ellen enjoys the brush so much she creates something every day. Her career began by illustrating fashion ads for a sporting goods store, she then became a cartographer for an engineering firm, product illustrator and copy writer for a nationwide drug company, darkroom manager for a blueprint shop, graphic designer and prepress artist for (Magic Cameras) and a digital restoration artist at a photography lab. Always interested in following new paths, Ellen then began producing and selling ads for an independent weekly journal. She now works on a myriad of projects from websites to art instruction.
Deeply involved in the arts, Ellen, along with co-chair Marrianne Heydron brought (SCBWI) Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators Network to Bellingham. Ellen was also on the Allied Arts planning team that brought Bellingham its first "La Bella Strada" festival. In 2006-2008 Ellen was Vice President on the Board of Directors at Allied Arts, she sees many great opportunities happening for Bellingham and the surrounding region.
An award winning illustrator, Ellen has decided that creating art is how she wants to spend her time because you can't have too much art.
