Professional communicators widely believe the hallmark of a superior writer is the ability to write equally well in many different styles. I've written everything from award-winning children's books to web content for a global banking and financial-services company. Today, I'm a versatile, skilled writer with a wide range of experience.
In the mid-1990s, my career took an unexpected turn. As soon as I started using the Internet, I grasped its potential and importance. I was fascinated and wanted to learn how it "worked."
I saw the Internet as another form of publishing. I loved the idea that I could deploy content myself, and it would be live instantaneously. I taught myself HTML, then went on to get a Web Developer certificate.
Many years of website work have expanded my skill set to include front-end Web development, search engine best practices, information architecture, web page design, usability consulting, and general website consulting.
Creating user-centered websites that are easy to use, have a high rate of task completion, and increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
