Elizabeth Brady's Education

Wheaton College

M.A., Communication

19911993

I lived in Burkina Faso, West Africa for 10 months after graduating from East Carolina. I was transformed by the experience, as many are, and decided to pursue an M.A. in Communications. During graduate school I spent two weeks in Moscow, Russia, after the coup in 1991. The McDonalds and Pizza Hut has just opened on Gorky Park, at that time there was a hard currency entrance so all the Americans and Europeans gathered there. We lived with host families from Moscow State University. The students were as fascinated to meet us as we were to meet them, we talked a lot about our "Cold War" impressions of one another.

East Carolina University

B.A., History/Broadcasting

19851990

Activities and Societies: As an undergrad, I was most involved in my sorority, Alpha Phi, and as News Director for WZMB-FM, the campus radio station.
