My most recent job was working in a complex digital prepress environment preparing electronic art for a 6-color Heidelberg press as well as several 2-color presses, an HP Indigo press and a Docutech. I used and am proficient in a variety of software programs, including Prinergy, Preps, Adobe Creative Suite, QuarkXpress, Freehand, and specialized in HP YoursTruly Designer to create variable files for the Indigo. I also dealt with complex electronic dies, embossing, foils, envelopes, and other highly
technical processes, which were a part of daily workflow. I am knowledgeable with a Mac or PC.

May 2006 — November 2006 (7 months)
I prepared customer files for presses (web and sheet-fed). Files came from various sources and often required complicated methods to work around the problems getting the files to print.
(Printing industry)
February 2002 — September 2005 (3 years 8 months)
My position was 60% design - 40% production.
Worked with clients designing brochures, business cards, menus, posters, etc.
Platemaking was awesome. The plate room was secluded and I'd plug in my iPod and dance while making plates.
(Retail industry)
December 1995 — April 2000 (4 years 5 months)
Fresh Fields/Whole Foods Market; I created signage, posters, brochures, advertisements, and merchandising displays for the store, utilizing many creative skills. I adhered to strict time management and scheduling procedures, handling many projects at once. I established the position, and trained co-workers on how to request graphic work. Everyone in the store was my boss. I used interpersonal skills to handle the challenges inherent with having ten bosses. I acted as the jack of all design trades and never had a dull moment.
Maintained and produced all signage within store. 12 chalkboards were created every week. Creating sales tags and event posters was the bulk of my daily work.
My claim to fame was the Team Member Endorsements. Employees would volunteer to endorse their favorite products within the store. Endorsement signage with the Team Member's photo and blurb about product would be created and displayed next to product. These endorsements were a great way for our store to connect with the community.

The Ann Arbor District Library was voted 'Library of the Year - 1996' (with the help of my award winning designs
