Edward Knighton’s Summary

I am a Finance Director with extensive experience in private, AIM listed and fully listed companies.

My entire career has been spent managing growth in small and medium sized enterprises. For example, I helped to list a media business (Helicon) on AIM in 1997, selling it to WH Smith Group in 1999, and then contributed to a turnaround in a listed retailer (Ottakar's plc) from 2000 to 2004 - a period when profits and the share price rose tenfold.

I joined Boosey & Hawkes as Finance Director in January 2006, conducted a refinancing and cost cutting exercise and helped to sell the business in April 2008 for £126m to the independent music publisher Imagem who were backed by ABP, the Dutch government pension fund.

I joined Entertainment Rights plc in October 2008 and achieved a sale of the business to Boomerang Media in April 2009, at which point it was renamed Classic Media. I am presently completing the post--sale integration process and will leave the company in September 2009.
