Dr. Fuerst brings over 20 years of experience in valuation and technology-driven projects. He combines a career as a senior strategy and valuation advisor to several Fortune 500 and other companies and investors, an academic lecturer and researcher, an investor and entrepreneur.
Dr. Fuerst is the managing director of Strategic Models, a advisory and investment boutique. He was the initiator and the co-director of the Technology Valuation Executive Program at Columbia Business School, and lectured there on technology and global strategy and valuation. Previously he was a faculty member at Yale University’s School of Management and Yale's International Center for Finance at Yale, lecturing and researching International Valuation and Management Systems.
Oren is also the inventor of numerous software and medical devices innovations which were commercialized by leading companies, including technologies acquired by Becton Dickinson (NYSE:BDX).
He is an investor in numerous technology companies, and is also the co-founder of Tevel Angel club, a NY based angel club focused on Israeli technology companies.
He was also with the advisory group of KPMG Israel and was a feature columnist for leading financial newspapers (including the Financial Times, and the Israeli newspapers Globes and Haaretz). He was a commander in the elite Technology unit of the Israeli Defense Forces.
Dr. Fuerst is the author and co-author of numerous publications, including the books "From Concept to Wall Street" (Financial Times- Prentice Hall, 2003) , “Startup Companies and Venture Capital” (Tel Aviv University Press, 2001), "Mastering Investments" (FT,2003) and the online course "e-Valuation"(Columbia University Digital Ventures, 2003).
He holds B.A. degrees in Economics and Accounting (Tel-Aviv University, dual Magna Cum Laude), and a Masters and Ph.D. from Columbia Business School, on the topics and linkages of game theory, valuation, public offerings and global equity markets.
