Retired from the semiconductor industry. Now teaching physics and sailing across oceans
Greater Salt Lake City Area
I retired from the semiconductor industry in 2002. Now I teach for nine months of each year and I sail for the other three.
Friends are always welcome to join me on my summer sailing trips. In previous years I've sailed across the Atlantic, across the Pacific, and I've sailed between islands in the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Tahiti, Hawaii, Thailand and the Bahamas. If you’re interested in joining me on a future trip, or if you just want to renew old acquaintances, you can contact me at DougHndrx@gmail.com.
If you'd like to see a little of what happens on these sailing trips, check out my sailing web site. The link is given above.
When crossing oceans I prefer to navigate the old fashioned way... by the stars. I teach classes in celestial navigation a couple of times a year. A link to the web site with the course description is given above.
