Having started my tech career on Wall Street after receiving a BS in Physics, I moved to Silicon Valley in 1996, when I joined BEA Systems as a founding member of the technology team, and contributed to growing BEA to $1B in sales. In my 8 years at BEA, I worked for the CTO and corporate development on scouting out new markets, technologies, and business models, and led the technical side of the company's most successful acquisition. I also led development of two entirely new product lines, and assessed acquisition alternatives, while completing an MS in Engineering. I then went on to an ambitious startup where I led the effort to revamp its business model and develop a new product and business plan. The venture failed and I learned many valuable lessons. Subsequently, I co-founded Swivel, a company that's upstaging the business intelligence space. At Swivel, I was responsible for developing the business model and defining the product, along with many other founder tasks. Swivel is up and running, and I now decided to pursue my passion for Physics and long-standing interest in renewable energy and clean technologies to help make the world a better place.
