    Summary
I have been an educator for 41years, with the subject of the Holocaust at the center of my teaching for the last 20. Educating both students and teachers about this complicated history is of the utmost importance to me, not only because it was a seminal event in world history, but because it also teaches life lessons like tolerance and standing up on behalf of persecuted victims of bigotry and hatred. My personal experience includes 32 years in the classroom teaching English/language arts and history, as well as twelve years leading seminars and workshops for Holocaust educators (over 1500 teachers) either on my own or as the Director of Education at the DHM/CET. I have also collaborated with other museums and organizations, including the USHMM, to present seminars and workshops on the topics of Holocaust, genocide, tolerance and leadership. I have written seven Holocaust curricula to date on a variety of themes for secondary ELA and social studies classes. Three of these curricula were chosen to be presented at teacher workshops sponsored by the Texas Holocaust and Genocide Commission, four of which were available across the state via videoconference. I am also a Museum Fellow with the USHMM. Through my tenure at the DHM/CET I have been able to develop sound working relationships with the curriculum coordinators at the regional service centers in northern and central Texas. I have also established a relationship with hundreds of schools and school districts through either their teachers or their administrators. As a Holocaust and genocide education consultant, I can provide educators with the necessary pedagogy, historic background and personal testimony for adequately teaching the Holocaust. As a humanities education consultant, I write curricula and assist school administrators and museum educators in coordinating education requirements and standards with existing curricula and exhibits. I also have experience in docent training and volunteer coordinating.
