I wrote my first computer program in 1974. The program was written in FORTRAN-IV and I have completely forgotten what it was doing. Then I learnt ALGOL 60 and PL/1... and after I had learned thirty more languages I stopped counting them. I worked with 2nd generation computers, big and impressive. I managed projects and teams in several countries. I have written books and published articles. I developed algorithms for artificial intelligence systems, created solutions for financial industry, developed e-business systems for real estate companies, and much more. If you are interested in my past experience, please visit my Web site and check my curriculum vitae:

A couple of times I tried to escape from the IT industry... First, I was graduated as a mathematician. Being a mathematician today means being a genius. I am certainly not, I am too much practical. My career of a pure mathematician had too many thorns; and I came back to developing computer models instead of developing formulas. Computers can do it, why should I?
Second time I tried to become a financial consultant. I was successful. I received certificates from a few institutions, including New York Institute of Finance and Moscow Central Stock Exchange. I published two books on the Russian securities market, became a well known consultant and founded a business college. I would never get back to computers and IT...
However, I decided to move to Canada. In 1995 I did. My first full-time job in Canada was for a software company. And I am back to the computer industry since then.
Today I am a software architect specializing in the area of system integration.

MCA is a unique program developed by Microsoft. I was fortunate to join it just a little before it turned into another pointless certification. I am happy that I finally finished the educational part of it, which does not exist in the current program anymore. In fact, there is no "program" anymore. What's left is just a certification. And I did not get certified ... may be some time later... or not.
