    Summary
    Roger born of the land in 1952 from a farming background, most of his young life was spent on the family farm in Carmarthenshire. He was educated in Landybie Secondary School. Roger remained in agriculture when leaving school and working with a family business that had farms in North Carmarthenshire and Surrey. After two years of full time higher education in agriculture gaining a National Certificate and unit management qualifications Roger came back the Carmarthenshire to take a post as Farm Manager with Slater Walker. Roger moved to manage a large Dairy Unit near Carmarthen were he stayed for two years developing a new heard within the most up to date unit for the time. Roger then left agriculture and moved into forestry where he joined the Forestry Commission, during this time he returned to college to study forestry and Woodland management at Cumbria College of Forestry and also in Inverness Technical College of Forestry Department. Roger remained with the Forestry Commission and through all aspects of forestry management throughout Wales and gained a number of management grades. Very active in rural community affairs as a Local Councillor for over 20 yrs, after completing a number of community projects and helping a number of communities in North Carmarthenshire benefiting up to over £150k in revenue associated with the RAC National Rally and Wales Rally GB events. In recognition Roger was awarded the MBE for this work. Roger continues his work outside his work as a Justice of the Peace on the Carmarthenshire Magistrate bench, also as Honorary Director for Forestry for the Royal Welsh Agriculture Society. Continuing his lift time learning Roger is currently finishing off a course in Theology through Glyn Dwr College Wrexham and St Michaels Theological College Cardiff, Roger has been made a Lay Reader in the Diocese of St David.

    I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Youngstown State University. As a Junior in the field of Management and an overall GPA of 3.25, I have completed many fundamental courses and in the process developed crucial understanding and experience in the study of managerial business. I plan to continue to apply this knowledge at my place of work and hope to improve my management experience with future opportunities in a managerial position.
