"N’Kenge, a petit fireball, is the all-around entertainer” This multifaceted upcoming young star, is notable both for her vocal range, versatility and stage presence. This native New Yorker has performed internationally in opera, recital, musical theater, jazz, and pop. N’Kenge has just returned from starring in The Genius of Ray Charles musical where she made her West End, London debut at the Royal Haymarket Theater and has toured worldwide giving over 300 concerts. N’Kenge sang in the world premiere of Marion Caffey's 3 Mo'Divas where she received the prestigious Helen Hayes Nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Musical. This season N’Kenge starred in the new Stephen Sondheim musical Being Alive that was directed by Billy Porter, and will be a featured soloist with the various symphonies such as Phoenix Symphony, Detroit Symphony and is proud to return to the Baltimore Symphony. N’Kenge releases her new album Centerstage this winter featuring acclaimed Artists such as Ray Parker Jr, Ray J and violinist Philippe Quint. N’Kenge will be collaborating with acclaimed Playwright/Director Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj starring in a Off Broadway musical production featuring Tony Nominated Actress Vivian Reed.
N’Kenge has sung for Secretary General Kofi Annan for the United Nations Visionary Awards and Colin Powell when he was honored by the George C. Marshall Foundation. She was a featured soloist in a live broadcast from the Library of Congress, has headlined the Children’s Defense Fund Gala this past October and has made solo appearances at the White House (Clinton Administration), The Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall Weill Recital Hall and has sung the National Anthem multiple times for the Mets at Shea Stadium.
