Team leader Interfacing & Integration at TomTom
Netherlands
At the age of 12, I got my first computer. Immediately, I was fascinated by the numerous possibilities of these machines. My first use of computers was merely on an artistic level, but soon I discovered the powerful business and professional purposes. As a result, I decided to study Technical Computer Science in Gouda. After graduation, I gained a great deal of experience at several employers.
My experience covers software development, internet technology and security. My specialties are to do with system integration, software development and XML. I am a creative person and can be of value as an architect, consultant or designer. My power lies within the combination of drive, a deep knowledge of ICT and a good set of communicational skills. I learn fast and I like to not only apply this knowledge, but also share this with others.
Being able to speak both ‘languages’, I often function as a translator between conceptual people and the technicians that work on the projects. I like to place the ingredients creativity, commercial awareness and global trends in a bigger perspective and that brings about an interesting vision of the future of ICT.
As I am an experienced software developer and consulant.
In my spare time I play keys in a successful soul jazz band. And I seek inspiration and adventure in hiking through the world’s highest mountains and dive in the big deep blue.
