During my last two years at school, I focused on my goal of having my own software company. I started Ratchet Software LLC when I was 23 years old and just ending my undergraduate degree.
Ratchet Software has become a successful, profitable, and growing business serving data through web applications to companies with 25K+ employees. The primary public product that we provide is a unified interface to all of our data sets developed in Ruby on Rails.
The company bases much of its income on multi-year contract so it is clear that the next several years will be stable for the company as it expands its customer base and the information provided.
In the future I hope to spend some of the freedom I have through my company on outside projects that I find interesting and having a possible impact.

I am a recent graduate from Seton Hall University looking to enter the workplace. It was nearly impossible for me to gain any work experience through internships or part time jobs during college because I was a division 1 baseball player. However, I do not feel like that set me back in the workforce because I was forced to learn how to handle responsabilities and time management as my entire day was filled with school work and baseball simultaneously. Handling both was a full day's work that instilled a work ethic in me that will directly transfer into the work force.
