My success, and that of UGG, began as an avid Aussie surfer living in Southern California, when I began importing sheepskin boots from Australia in 1978. I built the UGG IMPORTS company for 17 years, distributing UGG boots across the US and ultimately sold the company to Deckers Outdoor Corp. in 1995. They continued strong marketing and quality distribution to achieve sales over $1 billion in both 2011 and 2012.
