Recently transplanted from Seattle to Southern California, Debra Prinzing is a garden and design features writer. She is the former "NW Style" columnist for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and her feature stories now appear in the Los Angeles Times’ Home section. She has a background in textiles, journalism, landscape design and horticulture. Debra is the author of five books, including Stylish Sheds and Elegant Hideaways (Clarkson-Potter/Random House, 2008), The Abundant Garden (2005), and Pacific Northwest Garden Survival Guide (2004). Her articles have appeared in Garden Design, Fine Gardening, Cottage Living, Sunset, Better Homes & Gardens, Alaska Airlines Magazine, Seattle Homes & Lifestyles and Romantic Homes, among others. She also publishes www.shedstyle.com, a design blog. Debra lectures on design topics to botanical garden, horticultural society and flower show audiences, and is a regular radio and television guest.
