I've worked in all facets of software development, from Real-Time (radar and high speed scanners) to enterprise software to web development. Most often my role is mentor - I make sure we have a sound design, and that everyone on the team has a sounding board for implementation issues. Although I'm adept at writing code, I'm capable of designing and evangelizing the system as well.

I'm equally comfortable in front of management, customers, and peers. I frequently give presentations on state of the art (and not-so state of the art) topics.

My goal is to be responsible for software that is current, functional and useful. The state of the art in UI and security are the areas that I'm particularly interested in.
