After David Minton graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1989 with a degree in Political Science and course work in computer-aided graphic design and programming, he founded Minton Photography, handling regional and national magazine editorial accounts.
In 1995 David joined DTS Language Services, Inc., a technical translation agency in Chapel Hill, where he served as Design Group Coordinator and Corporate Systems Administrator. It was at DTS that he began web work, creating the DTS Language Services corporate web site and overseeing the localization of customer web sites.
In 1998 David became the first Webmaster for the Workforce Development Education Division of the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction and began executing contract assignments for Signal Design. Later that year, he became the third employee of NetworkArts, Inc.
In 1999, David became Vice President of the expanded NetworkArts, focusing on project management, staff resource allocation and customer support. With Robert Weeks and Frank Yonnetti, fellow members of the NetworkArts team, David founded DesignHammer Media Group in late 2000.
