David B. Levy is the creator of “FIONA FINDS OUT,” a preschool series optioned for development by the Disney Channel. Levy, an award-winning animation director, has directed Nickelodeon's “BLUE'S CLUES,” the Noggin Channel's “PINKY DINKY DOO,” and Cartoon Network's new Adult Swim series, “ASSY McGEE.” His animation has been seen on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE and HBO. In 2007, Levy's independent animated film, "GOOD MORNING," was a finalist in 12 international animation festivals. In February 2009, he completed another short, "OWL AND RABBIT PLAY CHECKERS," which has just begun to make the festival circut.
Levy has lectured and taught at Parsons School of Design, School of Visual Arts, NYU and Pratt, and is president of the New York chapter of Association International du Film d'Animation (ASIFA.) Levy's book, the best-selling “YOUR CAREER IN ANIMATION: HOW TO SURVIVE AND THRIVE” (Allworth Press, 2006), is now in its third print run. Levy's second book "ANIMATION DEVELOPMENT: FROM PITCH TO PRODUCTION," will be published in September 2009. He is currently writing a third book for Allworth Press. He lives in Brooklyn, NY.
