Dan Childs’s Summary
I am a medical journalist with more than 7 years of professional experience in communicating issues in medicine to the public. My portfolio spans print, radio, television and Internet venues, and these works have been published on local, statewide, national and international levels. Currently, I work with the ABC News Medical Unit in Boston as producer of the Health Page of ABCNews.com. Prior to this, I was editor of Asia's first-ever internationally-distributed consumer magazine on cosmetic surgery, which is published in three languages. I have also contributed to numerous publications, including the Australian Cosmetic Surgery Magazine, Harper's BAZAAR Malaysia and The New Straits Times. My focus lies in reporting cutting edge issues in medicine and health. In the future I aim to continue to produce medical news on the network level.
