Led two twice-a-week newspapers to historic circulation highs. The paper captured South Carolina Press Association General Excellence Award in 1996. The circulation highs were achieved through better customer service and a higher level marketing focus, making numerous appearances in the community.

Publisher Written, edited and published several books, including “Damn Cold and Starving,” the story of Marion Ray, a Nazi prison camp survivor; Life to the Fullest: Stories of People Coping With Diabetes;” “Boy Giant,” the story of Robert Wadlow, the world’s tallest man; “Everyday Angels,” a series of inspirational stories; and “The Courage to Live,” Donna Gustavel’s story of being deaf with cerebral palsy. Currently working on two new books – “Life, Limbs, and Lemonade”, the story of Loretta Goebel, a multiple amputee, and a documentary about the King assassination. The books combined have sold more than 10,000 copies and each was profitable. Donated $12,000 to the Alton Museum of History and Art from the Wadlow book and to other charities with the other publishing efforts. Started weekly community newspaper, The Bridge, as well as several other publications. The operations were profitable after six months.
