Damian Eads is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Under the direction of Dr. David Helmbold at UCSC and Dr. James Theiler at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), he studies the application of machine learning algorithms to remote sensing and time series problems. Since 2001, Mr. Eads has been employed with the Los Alamos National Laboratory, most recently as a Staff Research Assistant, working for the Intelligent Searching of Images and Signals (ISIS) team. His software has been licensed to and commercialized by several companies. In his spare time, he maintains many open source software packages for scientific computing.
