Cyndi McCabe has a diverse background in outplacement, human resources, consulting, and training and development. Prior to joining Lorain County Community College as Job Placement Coordinator, Cyndi was Program Manager for the Professional Development Institute at Corporate College. A Master Career Development Professional (MCDP) and a Registered Corporate Coach, Cyndi served as Managing Consultant for the Northeast Ohio practice of DBM (Drake, Beam, Morin). In that role, Cyndi provided coaching to middle and senior level executives in the midst of career transition. Cyndi also co-founded Transitions, a support group for unemployed professionals in Lorain County.
Prior to DBM, Cyndi was employed by The Pace Group, where she was a member of the Diversity practice. With Pace, Cyndi designed, developed, and delivered a variety of workplace initiatives for Fortune 500 companies, non-profits, and government agencies. She has also presented at conferences in the U.S., Germany, United Kingdom, Canada and South Africa on a variety of workplace issues. Cyndi’s professional experience also includes the telecommunications industry, where she managed the Office of Innovation.
Cyndi is an adjunct faculty member for Tiffin University and Lorain County Community College. Her education includes a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and an MBA from Cleveland State University, as well as extensive postgraduate work in Human Resources and Labor Relations.
A past international president of the Employee Involvement Association, Cyndi received the Founders Award for her contributions to the field. She is also a past state president of the Ohio Federation of Business and Professional Women and was named a Woman of Professional Excellence by the Cleveland YWCA. Cyndi served as Vice President of Membership for the Cleveland chapter of the American Society of Training and Development and is currently Vice President of the Northeast Ohio Human Resource Planning Society.
