The Global Public-Private Partnership for Handwashing with Soap (PPPHW) is a coalition of international stakeholders whose focus is handwashing and child health.
Established in 2001, the partnership aims to give families, schools, and communities in developing countries the power to prevent diarrhea and respiratory infections by supporting the universal promotion and practice of proper handwashing with soap at critical times.
Various global and national organizations are committed to promoting handwashing with soap on a large scale:

Release of Senate and House resolution for Global Handwashing Day. 2009
MOU signing with the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Health, Department of Education together with the League of Cities, League of Provinces and various NGOs. 2010
Promoted handwashing and play. National Advocacy campaign with Philippine AZKALS. Memorandum of Agreement signed in Cebu province. 2011.
1st ever Global Handwashing Day Alliance comprising members from private sector, government and NGOs to wrk together to bring hygiene interventions in school.
