Emmy-nominated journalist and documentary filmmaker/producer with substantial experience in all aspects of story development and production.
Developed projects from initial concept to final edited piece. Experienced researcher, interviewer, writer, and director. Extensive background in all aspects of field production and production management.
Work has aired on CNN, NBC, ABC, Showtime, National Georgraphic Explorer, HBO, A&E, Bravo, and The History Channel and ranges in length from news packages to long-form programming (incl. series) to feature-length. Partial list of projects include mussel farming in the Netherlands, child memory in court cases, publicly funded private education, alleged mercy killings in New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, and the rise of Islamic fundamentalism in Europe.
Produced and directed commercial radio, television, and web advertisements for state and federal political campaigns as well as public affairs companies.
Directed two short fiction films and taught nonfiction filmmaking in India.
Currently pursuing graduate studies at MIT and working as a researcher with the MIT Center for Future Civic Media. Focus on new technologies and communities, media production and distribution, mobile media, communication regulation and information design.
