In 2005, Colleen joined the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) in Waterloo, Ontario, an international relations think tank, as the Public Relations/Media Relations Manager and most recently as the Community Relations/Events Manager. In these roles, she has developed and managed strategic media communications, online communications, community relations and all public outreach programs.
CIGI is an independent, nonpartisan think tank that addresses international governance challenges. CIGI supports research, forms networks, advances policy debate, builds capacity, and generates ideas for multilateral governance improvements. CIGI's interdisciplinary work includes collaboration with policy, business and academic communities around the world. The CIC is a non-partisan, nationwide council established to strengthen Canada's role in international affairs. It aims to advance research and dialogue on international affairs issues by supporting a Canadian foreign policy network that crosses academic disciplines, policy areas, and economic sectors. The privately funded CIC fellowship program will support a number of carefully selected CIC fellows who will focus on important foreign policy issues, working out of universities and research institutions across the country.
